Terms of use
Last updated: 11 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and KURV for using kurv.fun, the docs at docs.kurv.fun and the KURV app. "KURV", "we" and "us" mean the people who run KURV. By using KURV you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, do not use KURV. How KURV handles your data is in the Privacy policy.
What KURV is
KURV launches NFT collections on Base and gives each one a place to be minted and traded. A creator brings layers or finished art, KURV builds and publishes the collection, and the creator launches it on Base with its own contract. Collectors mint pieces, trade them with each other, and can sell a piece back to its collection's Vault. A collection already on Base, launched somewhere else, can be brought over to trade.
KURV is software. Every mint, trade and sell-back is carried out by contracts on Base, and you sign each one yourself. KURV never holds your pieces or your coins: they stay in your wallet, or in a collection's contract on Base.
Who can use KURV
You can use KURV only if:
- you are at least 18, and old enough where you live to make a binding agreement;
- the law that applies to you allows you to use a service like KURV, and to hold and trade NFTs and coins on Base;
- you are not named on a sanctions list, and not in a place under sanctions that bar you from using KURV;
- you use it for yourself, or for an organisation you are allowed to bind to these terms.
Some parts of KURV, such as publishing a collection, need an invite, and KURV decides who gets one.
Your account and your wallet
When you log in, Coinbase makes a wallet for you. It is a self-custody wallet: it is yours, KURV never holds its keys, and KURV cannot move what is in it. Coinbase runs the login and keeps the wallet working. You are responsible for your login and for everything signed with your wallet.
Before you sign, read the amount KURV shows you, the most you will pay or the least you will receive, and the address. A transaction on Base cannot be undone, by you or by KURV. If you lose access to your login, KURV cannot recover your wallet for you.
Collections, art and creators
When you publish or launch a collection on KURV:
- you must own the art, or hold every right needed to publish it, to sell it as NFTs, and to let collectors hold, show and resell their pieces;
- you are responsible for the art, the names and descriptions, and anything you say about the collection;
- what you publish is public on IPFS, and what you launch is public on Base, for good. Freezing a collection makes the link to its files permanent;
- your mint share, your royalty and your coin are set at launch and stay fixed for the life of the collection.
You keep the rights you have in your art. Publishing it on KURV gives KURV a free, worldwide permission to store, copy, show and share it, in the app, on its sites and in posts about KURV, so it can run the collection and show it to people.
A piece gives its holder the NFT, recorded on Base, and whatever rights its creator grants with it. Unless the creator says otherwise, it does not give the holder the copyright in the art.
Fees
Paid mint: 5% to KURV, and the creator and the Vault split the rest. Trading: one royalty of 5% to 10%. Sell-back: the Vault keeps 10% of the backing, plus that royalty. Vault resale: that royalty, and the rest stays in the Vault. Free mint: a quarter of one unit of the collection's coin a piece, rounded up to the coin's smallest unit ($0.25 on a USDC collection).
Every charge, worked through, is on Fees. Network costs go to Base, not to KURV, and are never part of any percentage; see Gas and network fees. Read the amount KURV shows you before you sign.
The Vault
Every collection launched on KURV has a Vault, and it can hold $0. Collections brought over from another launchpad have none and trade here at their own royalty, up to 10%. The creator decides how much of each mint goes into it, from nothing at all.
A Vault Exit is a quote at a moment, based on what that collection's Vault holds. It is not a promise about any later moment, and not protection against an NFT losing value. Market Floor and Vault Exit are separate figures, shown separately.
A Vault holding $0 pays nothing for a piece sold back until money is booked into it. Nobody at KURV can move a Vault's backing, so KURV cannot retrieve it for you. See The Vault.
Nothing here is financial advice
Nothing on KURV, on kurv.fun or in the docs is financial advice or an offer. Figures on a collection are read from the chain. Every price and every buyer is up to the market, KURV makes no promise about what any piece or coin will be worth, and you decide what to do with your money. Read Risks and disclaimer before you mint, buy, sell back or launch.
Pieces on a practice copy of Base
KURV can also run on a practice copy of Base, where the coins are free, so people can try it out. Pieces, coins and Vaults there have no value, cannot be sold for money, and may be wiped at any time.
What you may not do
Do not use KURV to:
- publish art you have no right to, or that copies someone else's collection, brand or name to mislead buyers;
- publish anything illegal, sexual content involving minors, content that urges violence or hatred, or someone else's private information;
- mislead people about a collection, its creator, its Vault or what a piece is worth;
- trade with yourself, or with others, to fake activity or move a price;
- launder money, pay for anything illegal, or get around sanctions;
- break, overload or get around KURV's security, its limits or its invites, or reach anyone else's account;
- break the law that applies to you.
Names, logos and takedowns
KURV's name, logo, sites and software belong to KURV. Do not use them to suggest that KURV made, backs or sells something it does not.
If you believe something on KURV infringes your rights, tell us at [email protected] or @kurvfun on X: what it is, where it is on KURV, what it infringes, and how to reach you. KURV may stop showing a collection, a piece or a profile on its sites and its market while it looks into a report, and for good if it breaks these terms or the law. What is on Base or IPFS stays there: KURV can stop showing it, and nobody can delete it.
Disclaimers
KURV is provided as it is and as available, without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. KURV does not warrant that its sites, its app or any contract will be free of errors or always available, or that any file will stay online. Contracts can have bugs, and a bug can lose money. A price or a quote can change before your transaction runs. A coin's issuer can freeze it, and a coin can lose value or have no buyers.
Limits on what KURV is responsible for
As far as the law allows, KURV is not responsible for:
- a loss from a transaction you signed, a price or quote that moved, a bug in a contract, or a coin that was frozen or lost value;
- a loss caused by Base, Coinbase, Pinata, IPFS, Cloudflare or any other service KURV relies on;
- lost income, lost data, lost business or any other indirect loss.
Where the law does not let KURV exclude its responsibility, it is limited to the fees you paid KURV in the twelve months before the claim. If your use of KURV, or what you publish, leads someone to make a claim against KURV, you will cover KURV's costs from it.
Stopping
You can stop using KURV at any time. KURV may stop you using its sites, its app or its market if you break these terms or the law. Your pieces and coins stay in your wallet either way, and contracts already on Base keep working as they are written.
Changes
KURV may add, change or remove features at any time. When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and using KURV after a change means you accept the new terms.
